- Just A Brief Update -
- They both got the job at the Plumbob film-thingy thing as Background Extras and starts working tomorrow.
- Not much else happening really, they got home and got to know each other a little better and went to bed.
Another day, different town and a tiny apartment. This can work out though. Hopefully. Jude seems like a pretty cool guy, so that makes it all a bit easier to handle. Robert’s just a bit concerned about how both of them are supposed to fit in this tiny studio. He rolls around on the couch, facing the TV. He offered to sleep in the couch so Jude could take the bed since he will probably have a jet lag when he wakes up, and to wake up with a jet lag in a couch and a pounding head is something Robert would avoid. The guy’s from London too, and he prefers coffee in front of tea. Pretty odd. Robert reaches out for some clothes that lays spread on the floor in front of him. In reality, he moved here because he wants to start over. A fresh breeze of air is what he needs. A new start on a life that would possibly lead him to nowhere. Nowhere at all. Robert has tried several jobs, and none was suitable for him, since he got fired from every job he didn’t quit. Though, from the getting-to-know talk he had with Jude last night he suggested that Robert could apply for some kind of an acting role. Jude will, so Robert’s going to come with him to the whatever-the-company’s-called and hopefully save his life from poorness. No but really, Robert have played some roles before when he was a little kid in his dad’s movies but as the little rebel he came to be, Robert decided to quit acting and see if anything else would fit him. The shirt from yesterday gets cached in Robert’s fist and he puts it on. He’s fortunate that he clicked with Jude as fast as he did. After a few minutes it felt like they’ve known each other forever.
Okay let’s just not tell him that so you sound like a creep, okay?
Robert has it easy making friends. but staying in touch with them is an entirely different story. Robert starts to put on his jeans. Which is why he has an excuse not to contact his older buddies because he just want to leave that life behind. The life possibly a sophisticated, calm and considering person would have loved. To Robert it was just plain boring with all the same people, the same bars, the same everything. Nothing really happened. Well, robbery was a huge problem but apart from that, there was nothing there at all that interested him. So he started looking up some places on the internet, realised that it was way too expensive to live on his own, saw a comment about needing a roommate, contacted the guy that was Jude and now they’re here. Just a week later. Apparently no one wanted to buy this apartment so the affair was quick and easy. And now he’s here. Robert stands up and walks to the kitchen to calm his hungry stomach. In reality, this could really work. Unless he had to move back, but he isn’t counting on it. The fridge is old and has a beige, grungy tone to it. To his surprise, there was food in there and ingredients to make waffles. He started preparing it. He has no idea of how you make waffles, but he could at least give it a try.
Jude wakes up by a scream from the so called kitchen and sits up in a reflex.
"It’s… I’m fine, I just burned myself."
"So you can’t cook either?"
Robert walks out of the kitchen and faces Jude in the distance.
"Oh god. You know, why didn’t you tell me that you couldn’t cook before we moved in together?"
"Because you didn’t mention it, so I thought you could."
Jude stands up and feels a sudden pain hit the back of his head. Mourning, he heads towards the bathroom.
"Well same here, I thought you could because you never brought it up to discussion."
"Ha, the only things we discussed were movies and TV-series. I’m gonna go take a shower."
"Right. I have some aspirin in one of my suitcases, I can’t remember which. If you need it, I mean."
Jude opens the bathroom door and walks in. It’s a pretty boring bathroom. Almost depressing, actually. Jude closes the door behind him, takes off his boxers and walks into the shower. The cold water hits him of a sudden when he turns it on. Shivering, he tries to turn the knob to a warmer temperature. He doesn’t have a jet lag, but it’s close enough to make him groan in pain. This is one of the rare times he acts out in pure impulsivity. To move out of Britain. Away from the safety and into the dark. The unknown. Or that’s what he felt on the plane over. When he met Robert it kind of disappeared. The warm water trails along Jude’s body leaving a warm, calm feeling. Hopefully this day will be good.
This is strange, isn’t it?
Jude looked around in the new apartment in Bridgeton. Quite small, very unfurnished. Not really much you could do. There’s a TV, a double bed, a couch… Everything in the same room. Although, it was in the middle of the city so he couldn’t afford anything else; he couldn’t even afford this by his own. The strange thing wasn’t that he moved from London to the States in order to increase the success rate of his future acting career, it wasn’t that he met a stranger at the Internet and immediately decided to move with him to a city where he knew no one and didn’t know where to go, really. No, none of these things was constantly nagging in Jude’s mind, telling him to pack everything again and go back home. He actually couldn’t put a finger on what it was. The new environment? The skyscrapers? The lousy apartment? No, it was something else. Something… something different.
A knock on the door makes Jude flinch and get out of his thoughts in a sudden. Before he starts to approach the door it slams wide open and he sees a man with two suitcases and a shirt in his mouth. Jude raises his eyebrows, but could not resist putting on a little grin on his mouth because of the sight. The man stumbles in with clumsy feet and almost trips over the couch, throwing the suitcases on the other side of it.
"Oh, god. Worst traffic EVER. You would not believe how much cars there are outside even at this time.”
Jude gives the guy a smile, even though he was too busy trying to open the suitcases.
"I came with a flight. I’ve been sitting on a plane since 10 AM this morning."
He stops and looks at Jude.
"What the hell did you fly with? Your own homebuilt plane?"
"Yes, I know. The plane between-landed in France and it took AGES to get out of there."
The man smiles at him.
"Know what you mean. Hey, I hope I’m not being too rude here because I can be without knowing it."
"Oh, no it’s fine. I have a very humorous family back in London so I can take a lot."
"Good, at least one person that I can count on not being pissed at me for my impulsive language."
He reaches out a hand to Jude.
"I’m Robert, but you knew that already."
Jude takes his hand, shaking it.
Robert quickly gets his suitcases out of the way and sits down in the couch.
"So, London huh?"
This is a sim that I made two years ago on my old computer and forgot to save, but he’s one of the best sims I’ve ever made and I actually miss him. I think I’m going to try to re-make him again but it’s gonna be difficult finding the CC’s I had.
Just a Quick Reminder
I made this blog for MYSELF.
This blog allows me to express my creativity and stories that I constantly comes up with in The Sims 3 and I just need to sort them all out.
Which is also why I won’t be tagging this so people can find it. But if you do, that’s great! I’m just reminding you that this blog is for myself because I need at least some structure in my life.
(Finding) The Way Back Home
This is the story of how two men in desperation of money moves in together and under time develops a bond so strong they simply cannot imagine a life without the other. Though, under unfortunate events and coming possibilities they get forced to separate and to live several miles away from each other.
Will they ever find their way back?
So, I’m finally putting this up and I’m soon going to begin to write this story and in order to do that, I have played the storyboard as good as I can and as far as the game allows me to (since there are several restrictions that not even mods can fix), but yes. I made Robert Downey Jr. by myself, but that bored me out in the end so I downloaded Jude Law and fixed a few things since the sims never looks like you made them in the game.
Jude Law is made by sperosims
I’m honestly too lazy to put up all the CC’s right now, but I will soon.
